John Perry Barlow

John is co-founder of the Electronic Frontier Foundation, together with the other two digital rights activists John Gilmore and Mitch Kapor, and currently hold the position of Vice-Chairman at EFF. He is also a poet, lyricist (for the Grateful Dead band), essayist and retired rancher in Wyoming. He was chairman of the Republican party of Sublette County (Wyoming) and member of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. Among his writings we can highlight “A Declaration of the Independence of Cyberspace”, and about the future of copyright “The Economy of Ideas”; he is currently a reference on various topics, including the digital economy.
